Brock Lesnar offered a refreshingly candid response when confronted with UFC president Dana White's comments about WWE being "fake" during a 2015 SportsCenter interview.

The former champion in both WWE and UFC addressed White's criticism head-on with surprising honesty.

"Well, of course, Dana, it's fake," Lesnar acknowledged without hesitation. "Everybody knows that, but it's still the same."

Rather than becoming defensive, Lesnar took the opportunity to draw parallels between the two organisations.

He pointed out that despite their differences, both businesses ultimately share the same fundamental goal of promotion.

Lesnar elaborated on the similarities between the two business models despite their different approaches.

"Dana White is promoting fights, we're promoting fights. It just so happens that we get a little more longevity out of our fights and out of our fighters because of the circumstances," he explained.

The former champion emphasised WWE's entertainment value, suggesting that viewers who can't enjoy the show might have a problem.

He didn't hold back when comparing the leadership of both organisations either.

"The business model is the same. It's identical, and I think Vince [McMahon] is better at it than Dana, and that might rub Dana up the wrong way."

Lesnar's credentials to speak on both industries are impeccable, having achieved championship status in both WWE and UFC.

His professional MMA record stands at five wins and three losses across nine fights, with one no-contest.

Despite his critical comments about White in 2015, Lesnar returned to UFC in 2016 and defeated Mark Hunt, earning a record $2.5 million payday.

However, this comeback was short-lived after Lesnar failed a drugs test, resulting in the bout being ruled a no-contest.

Those plans included a Royal Rumble appearance and a high-profile match against Gunther at WrestleMania XL.

However, these creative plans were abruptly cancelled after Lesnar was named in the Janel Grant lawsuit involving former WWE chairman Vince McMahon.

This development has cast significant doubt over Lesnar's future with the company.

Despite still being signed to WWE, his return to either organisation appears unlikely in the immediate future.
