EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. -- Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Baker Mayfield scrambled up the middle for 10 yards, hurdled New York Giants defender Cor'Dale Flott into the end zone and then did Giants quarterback Tommy DeVito's signature touchdown celebration Sunday.
— Tampa Bay Buccaneers (@Buccaneers) November 24, 2024DeVito -- starting in place of Daniel Jones, whom the Giants released earlier this week -- typically raises both arms in the air while pinching his fingers, a nod to his Italian heritage. Mayfield did it aggressively in the end zone with :20 left before halftime, as the Bucs took a 23-0 lead into the locker room.
The Bucs' sideline joined him in the celebration. Mayfield finished the half 19-of-23 for 230 passing yards, and he's led three touchdown drives, with Mayfield and running backs Bucky Irving and Sean Tucker all scoring with their legs.
