Burger King has reached the next stage of its business overhaul - and it's finally time for its chicken nuggets to shine.
The fast food giant announced an update to its chicken nugget recipe following thousands of customer complaints, marking the latest move in Burger King's effort to improve its food and customer experience.
The new nuggets will hit US restaurants on September 1, with Burger King promising a bigger, juicier and more flavorful bite.
'Our culinary team evaluated every element of the experience, from the chicken and breading to the sauces that bring it all together,' Burger King said.
'Throughout the process, we invited real guests – including some of our toughest critics, kids – to test and refine the recipe, helping us create a nugget we believe delivers the quality, taste and experience that they have been asking for.'
The revamped nuggets are made with 100 percent white meat chicken and features a new marinade designed to make them 'juicier.'
Even the packaging is getting a makeover: the nuggets will now be served in a box instead of their previous paper packaging.
Burger King's chicken nuggets typically come in a set of four, eight or 16 pieces and will presumably be available for purchase in a similar amount.

Burger King fans sent thousands of complaints to the fast food chain about the forgotten menu item
For some loyal fans, this update isn't a surprise. Earlier this year, the company invited customers to share their opinions directly with the brand. Thousands of calls, texts and comments reportedly shared the same thing.
Burger King said diners described the old version as 'rubbery,' 'dry' and 'disappointing' - prompting the company to go back to the kitchen and rethink the recipe from the ground up.
Even Burger King's president Tom Curtis let it slip that he prefers not to chow down on the chain's nuggets.
'We can do better, and we will,' he said during an interview with the New York Post earlier this year. 'I want a meatier, crispier nugget and sauces that make my taste buds dance. The team is on it.'
And the nuggets aren't the only thing getting attention - Burger King is also refreshing its dipping sauces, including honey mustard, buffalo and sweet & sour.
There is also a brand-new limited-time 'Special Savory Sauce,' combining creamy and tangy flavors with a touch of spice, with hints of barbecue seasoning, ketchup, garlic, onion and black pepper.
Burger King has other chicken-themed products available on its menu, though. The includes the fan-favorite 'Chicken Fries,' which are thin, breaded fry-shaped version of chicken nuggets.
They were discontinued in the US in 2012, but continued to be sold at international locations before making their grand return as a limited-time special in 2014.

The Whopper has also been around for decades, becoming one of the chain's most recognizable menu items.
However, Burger King already rolled out what they described as an 'elevated' version of its iconic Whopper for the first time in almost ten years, prompted by 'direct guest feedback.'
'The Whopper is an icon, so we didn't set out to reinvent it,' the company said at the time.
The upgraded burger features a more premium bun and is now served in a box instead of the chain’s traditional paper wrapping.
It still includes freshly cut onions and tomatoes, lettuce and pickles - along with what the company describes as a 'better tasting' mayonnaise.
