Caitlin Clark, the WNBA’s first international superstar, has taken a sharp turn down the path of woke politics, leaving many of her fans disheartened.
Caitlin Clark’s meteoric rise—bolstered by her jaw-dropping, record-setting college career and stellar rookie season in the WNBA—seemed to offer a much-needed respite from the league’s ongoing struggles with dwindling viewership and ideological conformity.
But instead of sticking to what made her a star, Clark appears to be prioritizing progressive virtue-signaling over her unique identity, alienating fans who admired her for standing tall amidst the leftist noise in professional sports.
In her Time interview after being named ‘Athlete of the Year,‘ Clark chose to frame her success within the woke narrative of “White privilege.”

I’m not a big fan of basketball and I find the WNBA unwatchable. Clark drew lots of fans to her sport, and in on quick move has alienated a good number of those new fans.

By the “logic” of libturds, since the sport was invented by a WHITE GUY, no apologies are needed.

Yeah, Caitlin baby, you're really not that talented ... but your "white privilege" allows you to skate by on your mediocre abilities, whereas your "black sisters" -- you know, the ones who slammed you around on the court and who are, by your reckoning, far more talented than you, must suffer the agony of not being recognized for their superior skills.

I’ll cut her some slack for one day of social weakness, considering that she’s in a horribly racist culture that’s 100% against her, including physically beating her up. Perhaps it’s even among teammates during practice too. She’d be super human if she could put up with that without at least a little bit of crying uncle.

From what I’ve read about her, her skin color actually worked against her with some of her teammates and opponents. She should never have sold out.

CC’s fan base (including the parents of young girls) will take a nosedive in the coming WNBA season, along with sales of Fever-22 shirts, CC-endorsed shoes and basketballs.
To avoid having a lot of empty seating, the Fever games may need to be held in some local high school gym.
