In a resolution obtained by the Post, lawmakers will also renew calls for “targeted sanctions” on Hong Kong’s political leaders, including Chief Executive John Lee Ka-chiu.
The non-binding resolution will be debated in the chamber on Wednesday evening before a vote on Thursday.
It urges EU member states to “file an International Court of Justice case against China’s decision to impose the national security law” on Hong Kong.
Under the Basic Law, Hong Kong is a separate customs territory and may, using the name “Hong Kong, China”, take part in international organisations such as the WTO, and develop mutually beneficial economic and trade relations with economies around the world.
The resolution is expected to be passed by a clear majority, in line with previous ones on Hong Kong and greater China.
