On your road to becoming a kingpin you’re likely to leave some bodies in your wake, so here’s what you need to know about killing customers and other NPCs in Schedule 1.
Death is an inevitable part of Schedule 1 and you’ll soon find yourself responsible for the demise of an NPC. Whether it’s by accidentally striking them with your baseball bat, or them succumbing to the toxic effects of your failed mixes, you’ll eventually find yourself down a customer or two.
The question is, can anyone be killed in Schedule 1, and what are the implications of doing so? Such as do they respawn, and does it damage your customer base.

You can kill a customer in Schedule 1, but you should try to avoid doing so.
Do dead NPCs respawn?
You can kill any NPC in Schedule 1, this includes customers, as well as any other random people in the town.
The good news is that if you kill an NPC, either deliberately or accidentally in Schedule 1, they will eventually respawn. While there doesn’t seem to be any set time for how long this takes, it seems to occur after a few game days have passed.
This means that if you just go about your business, going to bed and waking up a few times, you’ll eventually spot the NPC you killed walking around again, even if it’s a different version of them using the same skin. They’ll also not remember what you did to them, so no need to fear reprisals.
However, we’d caution against just attacking NPCs whenever you feel like it. All NPCs are potential customers, and fewer clients means less money. Some NPCs might be part of supply or contact chains, too, so killing them will also disrupt your business, even on a short-term basis.
This can slow your progress and cause you to become stuck for a few days, so try not to kill anyone who might have an impact on your operation. For example, it’s never in your best interests to attack vendors or valuable contacts.
Of course, vendors and NPCs connected to quests or your operation will eventually respawn, but save yourself the hassle by trying not to kill them in the first place.
It’s also unwise to kill anyone in front of the police or to attack the cops themselves. All this does is draw heat and place a roadblock on your way to the top.
So, while you’re free to kill anyone you like in Schedule 1, a good hustler knows that discretion and restraint are two of the best tools to have at your disposal.
