Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney has called for a snap federal election on April 28, claiming he needs a strong mandate to address President Donald Trump’s tariffs.
Speaking in Ottawa on Sunday, Carney said the elections, which are not due until Oct. 20, should be pushed up in the face of the Trump administration.
