GTA 6‘s November launch is so highly anticipated that a car performance company is giving its entire workforce the day off to play.
Ever since Rockstar confirmed that GTA 6 will launch on November 19, 2026, fans have been joking that the release should be treated like a national holiday. However, for one California-based car tuning company, this is exactly what they’re doing.
In an Instagram post, Burger Motorsports announced that the entire team will be observing a “company-wide operational pause” on the day GTA 6 launches. This news comes after management reviewed multiple employee scheduling conflicts tied to the release of Rockstar’s highly anticipated game.
Company gives staff day off to play GTA 6
“After reviewing multiple employee scheduling conflicts, management has determined that normal business operations may be impacted due to the release of Grand Theft Auto VI,” reads the statement.
“Several team members have already notified management that they will be unavailable, unreachable, and/or ‘in Vice City’ for the duration of the day.”
According to the notice, customer support, order processing, shipping, engineering, social media, and even “general productivity” could all be affected by the launch.
The memo also states that normal business operations are expected to resume once employees have “completed their initial exploration, finished at least one mission, and returned to reality.”
At the time of writing, the document has been widely shared across social media, with many GTA fans praising the company’s decision and loving their commitment to the game’s big release.
“The boss will probably be playing GTA 6 on Nov 19th as well,” joked one commenter. “Shouldn’t it be around 1-5 days? So people can play it and enjoy it, of course,” added another.
GTA 6’s date is so big that it’s currently the only major video game releasing in November 2026, as other developers have looked to avoid the highly anticipated title. However, this dev hasn’t been put off and is trying to make GTA 6 with AI and wants it released before Rockstar.
