Care packages and spacious tents have been prepared for small boat migrants breaking into Britain, GB News can reveal.

Footage obtained by The People’s Channel showed some of the supplies that had been assembled for those who made their way to the nation’s shores from France.

It comes as tensions boil over along England's south coast, with protests erupting over landings in Dover and Portsmouth.

Footage shows packages containing new clothes and pyjamas, seemingly prepared in anticipation of arrivals.

Included were a brand-new tracksuit, flip-flops, and biochemical bags to toss clothes worn during the crossing.

“They were obviously expected. They’ve set this tent up for them,” one of the people in the video said.

The clip showed the inside of the huge steel-framed, well-lit tent, with clothes strewn across the floor.

Over the weekend, hundreds of protestors descended on sites where illegal migrants fresh from crossing were being processed before being dispersed around the country.

Demonstrators clashed with police as some attempted to block roads, prompting the Labour Government to brand the scenes as “intimidation and thuggery”.

It came as a record-breaking mega dinghy made the furthest ever distance from France, 200 nautical miles from the traditional launch sites around Dunkirk and Calais.

The boat brought another 140 migrants to the UK after being picked up and deposited safely on land by British border patrol boats.

Ten migrant dinghies crossed from France in the past 24 hours.

The People's Channel estimates that just under 800 migrants have reached Britain as a result.

As of September 6, 2026, approximately 81,337 people have crossed the English Channel in small boats since Labour came to power in July 2024.

Speaking to GB News, Labour Chief Secretary to the Treasury Emma Reynolds said Channel crossings were down 43 per cent from the same period last year.

“We are cracking down on the criminal gangs,” she said, claiming more than 100 people-smuggling gangs had been disrupted over the past two years.

The Labour Minister also insisted the Government was tackling concerns over the asylum system, pointing to a fall in successful claims.

“Under the Conservative government, 77 per cent of asylum claims were successful. Under our government in the last two years, only 38 per cent have been successful.”

However, Ms Reynolds acknowledged that people smugglers were “shifting their tactics to the western French beaches”.
