The third Global Financial Leaders’ Investment Summit has “sold out” as 300 global market leaders, including the CEOs of HSBC, Citigroup, Morgan Stanley and CVC Capital Partners, have confirmed their attendance, according to the Hong Kong Monetary Authority (HKMA).

Citigroup’s Jane Fraser, HSBC’s Georges Elhedery, Morgan Stanley’s Ted Pick and private equity firm CVC Capital’s Rob Lucas will grace the summit to be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel next month, HKMA CEO Eddie Yue Wai-man said in an interview with South China Morning Post.

Other heavyweights expected to attend include Mike Kanetsugu, the chairman of Japanese financial group Mitsubishi UFJ Financial Group, who will be attending for the first time, Yue said. State Street CEO Ronald O’Hanley and BNP Paribas Chairman Jean Lemierre have also signed up.

“It’s likely that we will continue to do it every year as a flagship event for Hong Kong,” Yue said. “We are seeing more satellite events surrounding the summit. It’s good for Hong Kong if we continue to have this to be an anchor for a Hong Kong high-power finance week.”
