A scenario-based ChatGPT XRP price prediction for December 31, 2026, has delivered a bullish target, despite the token’s more than 40% plunge year-to-date (YTD).

ChatGPT predicts XRP price may reach $1.40 by the end of this year, thereby suggesting a 27.3% upsurge as the token traded at approximately $1.10 on July 24.

The AI cited several fundamentals likely to propel XRP price higher over the coming months but also highlighted a major headwind that would limit the forecast.

Why is ChatGPT XRP price prediction for the end of 2026 bullish?

The Large Language Model (LLM) expects the token’s price to rally over the coming month due to several reasons. Among them is strong technical recovery potential, whereby if the altcoin surges beyond its recent local peak of $1.17, it would make the end-of-year target of $1.40 more achievable.

The AI’s XRP price target is also based on a realistic increase in its market capitalization. Furthermore, the token’s market cap would reach $87.5 billion at $1.40, from its current $68.9 billion.

Another tailwind for the set target is reduced legal risks, specifically the 2025 Ripple-SEC settlement. ChatGPT’s $1.40 price target was also bolstered by ongoing institutional development on the XRP Ledger (XRPL).

For instance, the XRP Ledger tokenization growth is projected to play a crucial role in the token’s uptrend. However, the AI cited significant supply pressure from Ripple’s large escrow releases, as it remains a key risk that limits more aggressive targets.

So far in 2026, Ripple has added about 2.1 billion XRP into circulating supply, with its escrow account holding roughly 32,444,999,933 XRP, valued at over $35.6 billion at the time of publication, according to data from XRPSCAN. With the company expected to receive 5 billion tokens from the escrow by December 31, ChatGPT projected increased selling pressure.
