Chicken and waffles is one of those American food combinations that sounds almost too indulgent to be breakfast - but Chick-fil-A is leaning in all the way.
The fast-food giant is bringing its Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches to restaurants nationwide from August 24, giving customers the chance to get their sweet-and-savory fix not just in the morning, but through lunch and dinner too.
And because apparently chicken and waffles wasn't enough, the chain is also launching two S'mores-inspired drinks for the fall: a S'mores Milkshake and S'mores Frosted Coffee.
The new lineup follows a limited-time test of the Chicken & Waffles Sandwiches in 2025, where it appears to have made quite an impression.
One Reddit user who tried the sandwich during the test described it as 'the best thing Chick-fil-A has ever had,' while another said the new version looked even better than a previous chicken sandwich test.
The sandwich combines several of the chain's most indulgent ingredients in one package.
There are maple-flavored waffles, a Chick-fil-A chicken filet, three strips of applewood-smoked bacon and honey butter spread, served warm with a side of classic syrup. Customers can choose between the chain's Original, Spicy or Grilled chicken filet.
There are two versions depending on when you order. The breakfast version, available from opening until 10:30am, comes with a smaller chicken filet and waffle.

From 10:30am until closing, customers can order the larger entree version, featuring a bigger chicken filet and waffle.
That means, unlike some of Chick-fil-A's breakfast offerings, the chicken-and-waffles combination isn't confined to the early-morning rush. For fans, that could be the biggest selling point of all.
One Reddit commenter joked that lunch essentially begins at 10:31am, while another simply complained about the chain's breakfast hours and said they would rather be able to order a chicken biscuit all day.
There was also an inevitable catch spotted by commenters: Chick-fil-A restaurants are closed on Sundays.
One Reddit user joked that chicken and waffles not being available after church on Sunday 'defeats the whole purpose,' prompting another commenter to suggest buying it on Saturday and saving it for Sunday.
The chicken-and-waffles launch isn't arriving alone. Chick-fil-A is also bringing back the cozy flavors of the campfire with two new S'mores-inspired drinks.
The S'mores Milkshake combines the chain's signature Icedream dessert with chocolate shortbread, graham cracker crumbles and marshmallow-flavored syrup. It's finished with marshmallow-flavored whipped topping.
Meanwhile, the S'mores Frosted Coffee combines Chick-fil-A's cold-brewed coffee with marshmallow-flavored syrup and Icedream, along with chocolate shortbread and graham cracker crumbles.

The new menu is also part of a broader nostalgia push from Chick-fil-A, which is celebrating its 80th anniversary throughout 2026.
The company has been bringing back familiar ideas while introducing new twists, including Frosted Sodas and Floats, updated packaging, merchandise and other throwback-inspired touches.
Chick-fil-A began in 1946 when founder S. Truett Cathy opened the first restaurant in Atlanta, Georgia.
Eight decades later, the company has grown into one of America's biggest quick-service restaurant chains, with more than 3,000 restaurants across the US, Canada, Puerto Rico, the UK and Singapore.
