Chinese company has invented a “smart pot” in which plants grow directly in the air

The company Izestee has introduced a compact aeroponic system for growing plants without soil. Instead of soil, the roots are placed in a transparent chamber, where they are regularly sprayed with a fine mist of water and nutrients.

According to the developers, this method provides more uniform nutrition and better oxygenation of the root system. The transparent housing allows you to monitor the growth of the roots in real time.

Key Features & Technology

The system is designed for high-efficiency indoor gardening and serves as a decorative, educational desktop piece.

  • Visual Root Observation: The transparent growing chamber lets you watch the entire root system grow in real time.
  • Precision Mist Delivery: Uses ultrasonic mist modes to suspend roots in mid-air and supply water/nutrients efficiently.
  • Smart Environment Control: Features a built-in heating system (up to 45°C), an LED display for temperature monitoring, and full-spectrum grow lights to simulate natural sunlight indoors.
  • Aesthetic Lighting: Includes RGB mood lighting for ambient room decoration.
