Chris Brown is getting down and dirty with fans on stage, putting raunchy behavior on full display — and thousands of people continue paying to watch.
There’s something deeply unsettling about seeing Brown perform overtly sexual, aggressive routines on stage while packed arenas cheer him on. The simulated sex acts, grinding, hair-pulling, neck licking, and other provocative interactions with female fans are being performed under spotlights, captured on phones and circulated widely across social media as “entertainment.”
Instead of repelling audiences, the spectacle continues to sell tickets according to a report from Pollstar, a music industry magazine.

In 2009, Brown pleaded guilty to felony assault after attacking his then-girlfriend, Rihanna. The case became one of the most notorious episodes of violence involving two major music stars, yet Brown didn’t get canceled.
His continued mainstream acceptance seems unwavering and even extends beyond concertgoers.

Crockett proceeded to recognize both artists in the Congressional Record for their contributions to music and entertainment. She doubled down on her support despite facing overwhelming criticism and backlash.

Pollstar reported in August that he topped $100 million at his first eight tour stops, making Brown one of the year’s top live touring acts from a ticket-sales perspective.

There’s really no other way to say it. This is a damning reflection of our society. A documented history of violence shouldn’t become background noise once Brown’s music starts.
Brown keeps getting celebrated because people choose to support him, and that says something deeply disturbing about what our current society is willing to excuse.
