NewsNation talker Chris Cuomo, a bitter foe of President-elect Donald Trump, said that he’s perfectly satisfied with Trump’s shellacking of Vice President Kamala Harris on November 5.
The reason: Democrats and the far left were “unimpressed” by the near assassination of Trump in Butler, Pennsylvania, which was an inch from success.
Indeed, even after the second, far-left kooks ridiculed Trump.
The broadcast on the Chris Cuomo Project was the former CNN host’s second blistering commentary on the assassination attempts. After the second, Cuomo called Trump to apologize for the far-left media’s ho-hum reaction.
“You Wished He Had Died?”
Cuomo was speaking about the U.S. Supreme Court’s ruling that a president is immune from prosecution for official acts, when he segued into the assassination attempts.
“What I found completely appalling and outrageous was how unimpressed lefties were by Trump getting shot in the head,” Cuomo began. “And how many of you would say, will you stop saying he got shot in the head or just nicked his ear?” Cuomo continued:
F**k you! You get nicked in the ear by a bullet and tell me that it’s no big deal. I’m good. I’m good. Nah, nah, that’s crazy. If that had happened to Harris, you guys would have talked about it for three days nonstop about how we’re in helter-skelter mode or whatever it is. And then you call me a bigot for saying that this is why you lost the election. That’s exactly why you lost the election.
Cuomo told viewers that the Democrats were completely “out of touch” with reality, and “lost the plot about how people feel in the majority.” And the far-left, Democrat reaction to the assassination attempt is a “perfect example” of how out of touch they are.
“Well, I think it was just a teleprompter,” he continued:
You would have never assessed it that way if you didn’t wish the guy had died. How f**ked up is that? That you wished he had died? That you played down that he was shot at. It was disgusting. And I, for one, felt a measure of satisfaction that you were punished for it, politically, because there is no place for that. He would have — he is not the standard of any kind of virtue. Okay. And he still beat you.
Cuomo’s advice for the Democrats is this: “Figure out” how Americans “feel and meet them there and offer them something better”:
Otherwise, whoever doesn’t do that is going to lose. And it doesn’t matter if it’s Donald Trump — if he’s closer to how people feel in the moment, you lose. That’s what just happened.
Unacceptable Reaction to Second Attempt
After the second attempt on Trump’s life at his golf club in Palm Beach, Florida, Cuomo called him to apologize for the media’s lackluster reaction. What bothered him, Cuomo said, was the “reaction and lack of reaction.” And Cuomo called Trump to tell him so.
“But the guy didn’t even shoot,” Cuomo said:
What if it was your father? Or what if it was Kamala Harris or President Biden, God forbid? Do you think that it would be almost a shoulder shrug and more of talk about the Secret Service and allocation of funds, than just, how crazy it is that this is what’s happening in our country?
That reaction, of “don’t make too much of it,” Cuomo said — “he had an AK-47” — is “unacceptable.”
“And it’s the second time media and political players have gotten away with playing down what should be a cause for panic,” he said.
One Democrat’s Reaction
One of the more appalling reactions to the second assassination attempt came from the wife of Trump impeachment conspirator Alexander Vindman, the hate-Trump Democrat and Ukrainian immigrant who somehow played a role determining policy toward Russia and Ukraine on the National Security Council.
Vindman helped impeach Trump by leaking the content of Trump’s phone call to Ukraine’s corrupt president Volodomyr Zelensky, during which Trump asked his counterpart to help provide proof of the Biden-Burisma influence-peddling scheme.
Rachel Vindman posted this to X after the second attempt: “No ears were harmed. Carry on with your Sunday afternoon.”
Despite the furious reaction to the deranged post, which demanded that her husband call out her comments as unacceptable, Madame Vindman was unrepentant, Newsweek reported about the now-deleted posts.
“Rachel Vindman suggested that her views and comments on X did not need a rebuke from her husband, given she is capable of formulating her own opinions,” the website continued:
Her profile on X reads: “Opinions are my own and not necessarily the views of my husband … but obviously if our views are different, mine are correct.”
The podcaster, who co-hosts a show called The Suburban Women Problem, doubled down on her stance in response to the backlash against her. She took to X again to say: “Sorry you’re triggered [laughing-face emojis] I mean no I’m not. I don’t care a little bit.”
Then again, perhaps husband Alexander did have a chat with his better half.
“I have deleted my tweet,” she wrote on X on September 16:
It was flippant & political violence is a serious issue. Whether it’s aimed at a former president, the media, immigrants, or political ‘enemies’ & every incident should be addressed appropriately if we want to change the tenor of our political discourse.
Vindman deleted that X account.
