While most attendees of the conference recognize that when President-elect Trump takes office in January, the U.S. will likely once again withdraw from the Paris Climate Agreement and cut off U.S. funding to the COP29 agenda.
The COP29 conference in Baku, Azerbaijan, ended Saturday after two weeks of bitter division, with a pledge from countries considered wealthy pledging to provide $300 billion a year by 2035 to poorer countries to help them deal with the supposed impacts of climate change and to move their economies toward clean energy.
COP stands for “Conference of the Parties,” which are the nearly 200 countries that have ratified a treaty called the UNFCCC (United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change). It was signed back in 1992, according to the BBC.
Finally, at 2:40 a.m. local time on Sunday, more than 30 hours past the deadline to reach an agreement, “the gavel finally went down on the agreement between nearly 200 countries,” according to CNN.
“People doubted that Azerbaijan could deliver. They doubted that everyone could agree. They were wrong on both,” said Mukhtar Babayev, the president of COP29 who is the Minister of Ecology and Natural Resources and who has held various positions in the Azerbaijani state-oil company.

Third-World Grifters Reject Climate Deal on Wealth Transfer
Rick Moran | 9:13 AM on November 24, 2024
The Conference of the Parties(COP)29 ended in anger as the developing nations rejected an agreement by the wealthy nations that would have given the greedy little grifters $300 billion in funding for projects to combat climate change.
It’s a “disaster,” some of the representatives claimed. The $300 billion in aid would come “from a wide variety of sources, public and private, bilateral and multilateral, including alternative sources.”
Nigeria branded the deal “a joke.” Ralph Regenvanu, envoy for the island nation of Vanuatu, stated: “The dollar amounts pledged and the emissions reductions promised are not enough. They were never going to be enough. And even then, based on our experience with such pledges in the past, we know they will not be fulfilled.”
Regenvanu has figured it out. The industrial West is not going to give a blank check to third-world kleptocrats without strings attached.
That’s exactly what the developing nations and their NGO lobbyists wanted. They’re angry because their demands for yearly $1.3 trillion in no-strings-attached grants were rejected.
That’s $11 trillion over the next decade. And we’re not supposed to ask what they’re going to use it for.

Why would you need “financing for climate change” if the goal is to go back to life in the Stone Ages with no modern anything?? Wouldn’t it be faster to just ELIMINATE modern necessities??
