Hannah Berner broke her silence on the shocking joke she made about Blake Lively during a Netflix special.

The comedian dropped the C-word in a joke about the actress, which was clearly alluding to the ridicule the Gossip Girl star faced this past year.

Her poorly-timed joke was featured on Netflix's comedy special, Torching 2024: A Roast of the Year, which was released Friday amid the aftermath of Lively's legal battle with co-star Justin Baldoni.

Lively accused her It Ends With Us co-star of sexually harassing her throughout the making of the movie, and then engineering a smear campaign against her.

Berner host a widely popular podcast called The Giggly Squad together with fellow Bravo Summer House alum Paige DeSorbo. She is breaking into comedy and landed her first Netflix special this summer.

While on stage, Berner told the crowd: 'The word c**t was trending this year,' before adding, 'I don't think Blake Lively was that bad.' The joke garnered laughter from the crowd.

Berner took to her Instagram Stories on Friday to shed light on the timeline, adding she completely stood behind Lively.

'My joke in the Netflix special was filmed before news of the lawsuit,' the Summer House alum said. 'To be 100 percent clear, I support Blake xoxo,' she added.

Lively made headlines across the globe when she alleged in legal paperwork that Baldoni, 40, of harassing her on set.

The filing claims that Baldoni entered Lively's make-up trailer while she was topless, showed her pornographic pictures and a graphic video of his wife giving birth, repeatedly discussed his 'porn addiction', described his own genitalia and even bit and sucked on Lively's lips during an improvised kissing scene for which Baldoni insisted on doing multiple takes.

Her lawsuit also alleged Baldoni claimed he was 'speaking to' Lively's dead father and fat-shamed the actress by asking about her weight.

It further claimed that Baldoni's PR team had attempted to smear Lively's reputation, citing a text message from his publicist Melissa Nathan which read: 'We can bury anyone.'

Since the filing, the fallout for Baldoni has seen the actor - who also directed the film adaptation of Colleen Hoover's book of the same name - dropped by WME talent agency, parted ways with his podcast partner and seen his 'The Voices of Solidarity Award' rescinded by the Vital Voices organization.

Lively is preparing to take further legal action against her It Ends With Us co-star Justin Baldoni, according to sources who say that the Gossip Girl actress' bombshell lawsuit is just 'the tip of the iceberg.'

The film, based on the 2016 bestseller by Colleen Hoover, was released in August and was a box office hit, grossing more than $350 million against a $25 million production budget.

It follows Lily Bloom, a florist played by Lively, who falls in love with a charming but abusive neurosurgeon played by Baldoni, who also directed the movie.

Hoover has also shared her support for Lively - despite having worked closely with both stars on the movie.

The author wrote on Instagram the same day Lively's complaints surfaced: 'Blake you have been nothing but honest, kind, supportive and patient since the day we met. Thank you for being exactly the human that you are. Never change. Never wilt.'

Lively famously found fame on the hit coming-of-age film, The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, alongside the Barbie star, America Ferrera, Gilmore Girls actress, Alexis Bladel, and Amber Tambyln.

Her three co-stars, who have known Lively since she was 18 years old, have since issued a joint statement.

They called out Baldoni's 'hypocrisy' as they wrote: 'As Blake's friends and sisters for over 20 years, we stand with her in solidarity as she fights back against the reported campaign waged to destroy her reputation.

'Throughout the filming of "It Ends with Us," we saw her summon the courage to ask for a safe workplace for herself and colleagues on set, and we are appalled to read the evidence of a premeditated and vindictive effort that ensued to discredit her voice.

'Most upsetting is the unabashed exploitation of domestic violence survivors' stories to silence a woman who asked for safety. The hypocrisy is astounding.

'We are struck by the reality that even if a woman is as strong, celebrated, and resourced as our friend Blake, she can face forceful retaliation for daring to ask for a safe working environment,' the statement continued. 'We are inspired by our sister's courage to stand up for herself and others.'
