Controversial “Snow White” star Rachel Zegler has scored a coveted invite to Anna Wintour’s exclusive Met Gala, also known as the Oscars of Fashion, we hear.
The singer will next star in the musical, “Evita,” in London, which opens June 14.
The Met Gala is always the first Monday in May.
But it doesn’t look like the star will attend. A rep for Zegler tells us, “Rachel will be in rehearsals for ‘Evita’ in London in May.”
Zegler — who was blamed for helping the film fizzle with controversial social media posts on Donald Trump and other topics — attended a pared down opening for the Disney flick on Mar. 15 that had a limited amount of media, which only included photographers and a house crew.
She has been quiet on X lately, and does not appear to have given any recent interviews.
Invites for the Met Gala are hard to come by with Wintour personally approving the guest list.
Sources tells Page Six that other stars heading to this year’s glam event include singers Doechii, Shakira, Lizzo, Mary J. Blige, and models Amelia Gray and Ashley Graham.
According to our source, this year’s invite list is heavy on athletes, and we hear that college basketball star Paige Bueckers will attend.
The theme for this year’s gala is “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” with the dress code, “Tailored for You.” It benefits the Met’s Costume Institute.
Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky and Pharrell Williams will co-chair.
Basketball legend LeBron James is serving as an honorary chair.
On the host committee are André 3000, Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, Jordan Casteel, Dapper Dan, Ayo Edebiri, Edward Enninful, Jeremy O. Harris, Branden Jacobs-Jenkins, Rashid Johnson, Spike Lee, Tonya Lewis Lee, Audra McDonald, Janelle Monáe, Jeremy Pope, Angel Reese, Sha’Carri Richardson, Tyla, Usher and Kara Walker.
Along with Zegler, another star passing on this year’s carpet is Blake Lively and husband Ryan Reynolds.
While the pair are currently embroiled in a lawsuit with Justin Baldoni, they reportedly made the decision not to attend before the legal war over “It Ends With Us.”
Zegler, 23, attended the event in 2024 wearing couture Michael Kors. She first attended in 2021 in Dior Haute Couture.
Zegler first sparked controversy when fans of the beloved 1937 Disney classic “Snow White” took offense to what they saw as her disparaging the story by calling the Prince character a “stalker.”
She also wrote online, “and always remember, free Palestine,” in response to a promo tweet for the movie.
The film’s producer Marc Platt flew to New York to discuss, according to Variety, but she reportedly refused to take the message down.
Her co-star Gal Gadot is Israeli and the studio reportedly had to pay for extra security for the mom of four after death threats spiked following Zegler’s message.
She also caused a stir with a tweet wishing President Trump and his supporters “never know peace” after he won the 2024 election last November. She was later forced to apologize.
“Disney’s lead actress is out of control,” a movie insider previously told Page Six.
The film also had issues over representation of the famed Seven Dwarfs.
The movie then bombed, losing a reported $115 million.
TMZ reported that Gisele Bündchen is skipping fashion’s biggest night.
The Brazilian supermodel, 44, who welcomed her third child — the first with boyfriend Joaquim Valente — in early February, reportedly declined an invitation to the Met Gala 2025.
