Day #23 of the Top 50 songs on my iTunes playlist -- ranked in reverse order by play frequency from #50 to #1 and presented here on a series of FR threads. I've been posting them here on a new thread that compiles the growing list one day at a time over the course of several months. I only post them on weekdays and may miss a day or two here and there, so this will probably be done by late October.
And to show my gratitude to the FR management for giving us all a forum to post vanity threads like this, I'll be making a contribution for the current AND next quarterly fundraisers. I would encourage everyone on these threads to do the same! :-)

My wife hates The Boss. I guess I enjoyed some of his music in the 1980s. But don’t get a chance to listen to him much. Especially if my wife is around. He’s on several of my Spotify playlists but if she’s with me she always make me skip the track ;-)

Pinging to those from the previous threads. Obscure song from Bruce Springsteen's second album, The Wild, the Innocent & The E Street Shuffle. The E Street Band with an orchestra sound behind it is unusual, to say the least. Hate his politics, but this is a masterpiece.

This album was released in 73 that would've made Bruce about 24. So he had to have written this song when he was like 22 or 23. How does a kid of that age write something like this?

Absolutely beautiful. I was lucky enough to see him 3 or 4 times. Did not care for born in the USA or anything after that. His concerts were amazing.
