A video appears to show a fragment of an Iranian missile lethally falling on an unlucky Palestinian civilian walking a street in Jericho, according to Israel’s official Twitter account.
The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) said that their missile defense system carried out “a large number of interceptions” against Iran’s missile attack and that they were “not aware of any casualties” in Israel proper, CBS News reported. The state of Israel also shared a graphic video Tuesday that appears to show a rocket fragment crashing into the unlucky Palestinian, claiming he was the only victim of Iran’s missile strike. “Iran fired 181 ballistic missiles at Israel tonight. Only one person was killed: A Palestinian man in Jericho. We’ve said it once, and we’ll say it again: the Iranian regime is dangerous, destructive, and one of the greatest threats to regional and world stability,” Israel’s account tweeted.

The footage appears to show a Palestinian walking the streets of Jericho when a rocket fragment suddenly fell from the sky and crashed into the unfortunate man. The man appears mangled and in a lifeless position on the ground beside the rocket.

Iran’s attack caused “[a]pprox[imately] 10 million [Israeli] civilians” to retreat into “bomb shelters” for safety, the IDF said. A Pentagon official told the Daily Caller that American forces “remain postured to provide additional defensive support and to protect U.S. forces operating in the region,” and that they aided in the defense of Israeli airspace. Multiple Iranian missiles still appeared to get through these air defenses and land in Israel.

Israel reportedly warned Iran that if attacked, Israeli forces would target Iran’s nuclear and oil facilities in retaliation. “Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it,” Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu tweeted in Hebrew.

Iran previously launched a missile and drone attack on Israel in April in response to an Israeli airstrike that reportedly leveled the Iranian consulate in Damascus, Syria and killed a senior Iranian military officer.
