Congratulations are in order for Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodríguez!

The longtime couple tied the knot in a civil ceremony on Aug. 11, 2026, in Cascais, Portugal, according to a press release obtained by People.

In a joint Instagram post, the 41-year-old athlete and the 32-year-old model uploaded a photo of his hand gently resting on her hand, with both wearing simple gold wedding bands. They captioned the post, “C❤️G.”

In July, rumors swirled that Ronaldo and Rodríguez secretly tied the knot when they were both spotted wearing bands on their ring fingers.

In snaps obtained by Page Six, the couple kept a low profile as they arrived in Mallorca, Spain, but the dazzling bands could not be hidden.

They first met in 2016 at a Gucci store in Madrid where Rodríguez worked as a sales assistant.

“I felt something inside that can’t be explained, as if we had known each other all our lives,” she told Vogue Arabia in May 2025, saying that when the two “held hands for the first time” there was “inexplicable peace and energy.”

“When people are in love like we are, they know what that strong connection is. That spark we had since we met has also grown and matured over time,” she added.

Ronaldo confessed in the Netflix series “I Am Georgina” that he didn’t expect to hit it off so quickly.

“But after a while I felt that she was the woman of my life,” he gushed.

When they met, Ronaldo already had his son Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., whom he shares with an unidentified woman, and welcomed twins Eva and Mateo via surrogacy.

Ronaldo and Rodríguez welcomed their first baby together on Nov. 12, 2017.

In October 2021, Ronaldo and Rodriguez revealed they were expecting twins alongside a shot of themselves with ultrasound pictures.

However, in April 2022, the dad of five announced the devastating news that one of his twin babies died during childbirth.

“It is with our deepest sadness we have to announce that our baby boy has passed away. It is the greatest pain that any parents can feel,” Ronaldo and Rodríguez announced in a joint statement via social media at the time.

“Only the birth of our baby girl gives us the strength to live this moment with some hope and happiness,” they continued, confirming that Bella survived.

In November 2022, Ronaldo shared that he and his family continue to keep the memory of their baby boy Ángel alive and talk about him every day.

The legendary athlete and the influencer previously sparked marriage rumors in July 2024 when Ronaldo referred to her as his “wife” during a home workout video for the fitness brand Whoop.

“Most important thing is, it’s not what you do, it’s you have to do. When I’m not training in the club, I like to work with my wife at home,” he said in the clip shared on Instagram.

Following the video, the Portuguese native’s publicist told Page Six in a statement: “At this time, I cannot confirm nor deny that Cristiano has married Georgina. I simply do not know.”

However, they announced their engagement in August 2025, with Rodríguez showing off her massive sparkler in an Instagram post at the time.

“Yes I do. In this and in all my lives,” she captioned the upload.
