An enraged Amazon delivery driver was filmed punching an elderly man at a gas station after the pair clashed over a parking spot.

New surveillance footage released by Elk Grove police shows suspect Terrence Wheeler, 30, allegedly striking a 71-year-old man in the head at an Arco gas station in Northern California back in March.

Shocking video showed an irate Wheeler following the elderly man into the store before confronting and shouting at him.

As the elderly man strolled past, Wheeler is seen winding up before allegedly slugging him in the head.

Wheeler's punch was so forceful that the victim was sent flying forward, tumbling to the ground.

Authorities said the Amazon worker flew into a rage after the elderly man pulled into a parking spot he wanted.

Police identified Wheeler as the suspect, and he surrendered later that day. He was jailed on charges including felony elder abuse, criminal threats and misdemeanor battery.

Houston attorney Tony Buzbee represents the victim - an auditor who inspects agricultural and animal facilities, The Sacramento Bee reported.

The elderly man was on his way to a hotel near Sacramento International Airport when he made a quick stop at the gas station for a soft drink, according to the attorney's office.

He then followed after the Amazon van to catch its license plate and returned to the store, where employees watched the attack unfold on camera and called police, per the firm.

The attorney's office added that the victim travels nationwide for work and had a pacemaker implanted after a heart attack in 2024. He had only recently returned to his job, the firm added.

Buzbee said the elderly man continues to suffer from a concussion and lingering neck pain, according to a social media post.

'We believe the Amazon driver has a history of violence,' Buzbee said.

'Amazon delivery folks must be carefully screened and trained. Amazon must do better in the hiring process.

'When Amazon fails, like here, it must be held accountable,' Buzbee added.

The victim's attorneys are seeking a staggering $10 million from Amazon and Wheeler for damages caused by the attack.

Amazon told CBS News that Wheeler was not its employee, but worked for an independent delivery contractor.

The company added the driver was dropped by the contractor after Amazon learned of the incident.
