A Washington, D.C.-area restaurant server has been fired after she spoke out about possibly refusing service to incoming Trump administration officials.
"I personally would refuse to serve any person in office who I know of as being a sex trafficker or trying to deport millions of people," Suzannah Van Rooy, a server at Beuchert's Saloon on Capitol Hill, told the Washingtonian this week. "It’s not, ‘Oh, we hate Republicans.’ It’s that this person has moral convictions that are strongly opposed to mine, and I don’t feel comfortable serving them."
Her remarks were part of a report about whether there would be local "resistance" to certain Trump figures when they were in public settings again after several high-profile incidents during his first term. They included then-aide Sarah Huckabee Sanders being ejected from a restaurant in Lexington, Va., and protesters swarming then-Homeland Security Secretary Kirstjen Nielsen at a D.C. Mexican establishment.

Beuchert's Saloon told Fox News Digital that Van Rooy's remarks were "reprehensible" and she had been fired for violating their "zero-tolerance policy on discrimination."

Thank you very much and God bless you.
The restaurant owner pretty much had no choice. I'm not sure why the server thought that speaking in such a manner regarding the customers that provide her pay-check wouldn't have any consequences.
Beginning at the first of the year, DC is going to be inundated with Trump appointees and their staff members. All conservative. Government employees are the core of the restaurants' consumer base and word would quickly spread as to which businesses to avoid.

I’ll avoid restaurants. It’s a big reason why Trump is trying to get his lease back at his former hotel in DC. So they can all have meetings there.

No Trump supporter should be eating at any restaurant in DC, the little creeps are going to spit in the food or worse, it’s not worth it. Go somewhere else And shut the commies down.

That ex-Waitress was foolish enough to provide her full name to the press. Maybe she expected to be applauded and celebrated for her immature, hateful remarks.
So, that’s one down.
There was a bar manager who spoke up too. I man’s name.
Wonder if he still has a job.
He said something about ‘do you expect somebody like RFK jr
to sit in that bar “without having a drink thrown in his face?”

She also signed onto the bar’s social media account and made comments without authorization to do so.
The server may want to look for other career opportunities. Her stint in the restaurant business may be over at this point. Maybe she could find something with a TDS-suffering restaurant, but even they’d probably have issues with hiring someone so childishly irrational.
