The dad being sought for allegedly pushing his estranged girlfriend and their 5-month-old daughter from a 15th-floor balcony had brought her flowers that day to reconcile after he was accused of two domestic violence attacks, according to sources.
Angel Carrasco, 31, allegedly lost his cool and flew into a rage when the make-up attempt went south and shoved Nathaly Ramirez, 23, to her death while she clutched the couple’s baby, leaving the tragic tot fighting for her life at Jacobi Hospital, law enforcement sources told The Post.
Carrasco then fled the scene, leaving behind a bouquet of flowers he had apparently hoped would help smooth over the pair’s troubled relationship. He is now the subject of an intense manhunt.
Carrasco had twice been charged with assault earlier this year in separate domestic busts, including a third-degree assault rap on Jan. 5 for allegedly slapping Ramirez and leaving her bruised after she complained about him chatting it up with an ex-girlfriend, the sources said.
He was charged in another domestic incident with Ramirez just three days later, when sources said he was charged with burglary for breaking into her apartment and waited for her — but that case was later sealed and further details are not immediately available.
According to the sources, he was also accused of sending an ex-girlfriend threatening texts.
Carrasco also has at least two other arrests on his rap sheet, including separate false impersonation and marijuana possession busts in 2016, with additional sealed cases, the sources said.
Cops responded to the apartment building at 2550 Olinville Ave. around 3:40 a.m. Tuesday to find the tragic scene — and on Wednesday put out a wanted poster of the suspected killer.
Haunting photos from the crime scene show a diaper and a baby’s blanket on the ground outside the 18-story apartment building hours after the tragic incident.
The sources said Carrasco is the father of the injured baby, who remains in stable condition at Jacobi Hospital, where her mom was pronounced dead after the horriifc incident.
Ramirez, described by neighbors as a “very sweet” and doting mom, was a graduate of Bronx Leadership Academy High School and studied at Baruch as a psychology major, according to her Linkedin page.
She worked at Lishawn Consulting in Manhattan, where a rep described her as “a rising star” at the firm, and said she was “very hardworking, showed tenacity and dedication to pursue her career goals.”
