The Pets Table slow-cooked dog food

Kibble is processed at temperatures high enough to strip out much of the food's natural nutrition and flavor. What gets lost is often replaced with cheap synthetics, artificial flavors, and dyes to make the result edible.

The Pets Table cooks slowly at lower temperatures, which keeps naturally occurring vitamins, protein content, and palatability intact. Every recipe is made in the USA with no artificial flavors, no colors, and no fillers, and there are more than 10 to choose from for allergies, sensitivities, and preferences. In a customer survey, 85% of dogs preferred it to their previous food.

Try it with 50% off your first box and 20% off your second.

WHAT WE'RE WATCHING

🏳️‍🌈 Mamdani hires a “gay communist” for senior role. Lena Afridi, who draws a $185,000 salary as a senior adviser, has called for “abolition of police” and “undoing capitalism,” according to his deleted social media posts. Alridi, who uses “they/them” pronouns, also edits Pinko magazine, which describes itself as “a collective for thinking gay communism.”

🗣️ Talarico's lesbian minister says he’s fake. Rev. Babs Miller of St. Andrew's Presbyterian Church in Austin, Texas, was caught on undercover footage admitting that Democratic Texas Senate candidate James Talarico's newfound opposition to transgender surgeries for minors and boys in girls' sports is fake. “I can guarantee you that once he gets elected, he'll change his tune back to where he was.”

⚔️ House Republicans pass resolution on Iran. Seven GOP members joined all 213 voting Democrats to pass Rep. Seth Moulton's (D-MA) resolution in a 220-204 vote, arguing Congress must authorize continued military engagement. The Trump administration maintains the president is acting within his constitutional authority as commander in chief.

⚖️ Charlie Kirk's family sues over his assassination. A notice of claim filed by Erika Kirk accuses Utah Valley University officials of ignoring a specific warning about accessible rooftops near the event site. The filing alleges UVU's president denied the police chief's request for additional officers, and that real-time monitoring of campus CCTV footage could have stopped the rooftop shooter before he fired.

ASK THE EDITORS

Q: Why is diesel so expensive even though it's not as refined as gasoline? — Karla from Tennessee

A: Although diesel has always cost more than gasoline, the Iran war has caused the price to explode. Diesel is up around 70 percent year over year, compared to gasoline's 42 percent increase. This is because diesel is a global commodity in a way gasoline isn't.

Gasoline is mostly used and sold within the country that refines it, but diesel powers international shipping, so it moves across borders constantly and makes it more sensitive to economic shocks, like the Strait of Hormuz being closed.

Middle Eastern oil also produces more diesel per barrel than American oil does, so losing that supply hits especially hard, even with the US pumping plenty on its own.

Plus, diesel demand isn't as flexible as gas demand. You can drive less when gas gets expensive, but trucks, farms, and ships have no real substitute for diesel, so prices climb faster and stay high longer.
