Deputy Leader of the Liberal Democrats Daisy Cooper has fumed that "Labour should be raising tax on big tech companies not small businesses and pensioners."

This come as Rachel Reeves delivered her Autumn Budget today, including a raise in employers National Insurance.

Speaking to GB News, Cooper said: "We're very concerned that the big burden of that particular measure is going to fall on small businesses and on the employees as well.

"We said repeatedly during the general election campaign, we've said repeatedly since that we think that there are other ways that the government could be raising taxes, looking to raise taxes on the big banks, on the big tech companies.

"Those are the kind of places where you should be raising tax, not on small businesses, not on hard working, struggling families, not on pensioners, and not on family farms either."
