Dallas kicker Brandon Aubrey has apologized to the Cowboys cheerleader he struck with a kick during Sunday's game against Washington.
Michelle Siemienowski was struck on the back of the head during the Cowboys' regular season finale at AT&T Stadium.
Aubrey made a 34-yard field goal before returning to the field to taking a kickoff. But, unfortunately, Aubrey's kick veered off the field towards Siemienowski.
The cheerleader, part of 'America's Sweethearts', was performing with her back to the field and did not see the ball coming. She fell to the ground and those around her immediately stopped their routine.
Following the incident, Aubrey is said to have sought out Siemienowski before leaving her a message on the roster sheet to apologize.
'Michelle, so sorry about hitting you on KO!' Aubrey wrote. 'Hope you are doing well! Love watching y'all!'

Siemienowski posted a picture of Aubrey's apology on social media alongside her own message about the incident.
'This past 24 hours has been a whirlwind! I got a ton of messages and I wanted to thank you all for checking in and for your kind words! I am all okay, so no need to worry!'
'Also... thank you @baubs10 for this apology note! I was told he wanted to come find me on the field after the incident, but unfortunately I kept moving around the field.
'He was so kind to write me a note anyways! No hard feelings here! And now I have a souvenir for my last game of my rookie season!'
'Congrats on breaking a franchise record!' she added, after Aubrey made 37 field goals across the 2024 season. He held the previous Cowboys record - 36 - from the 2023 season.
