It was actually a fairly funny bit, and Carvey's impersonation of Biden was spot on. But imagine the four year of comedy gold SNL forfeited because they were unwilling to lampoon the most ludicrous, gaffe prone, senile buffoon to ever be President.
Joe Biden could have single handedly revived the show's decline if they had simply taken advantage of the comedic material he offered them.

Still too tame. Skit could have gone so much farther.
"Biden" should have, e.g., declared how much he loves serving under "Harris."
