Presumptive lefty New York congresswoman Darializa Avila-Chevalier condemned the NYPD and accused cops of protecting a “militia” of immigration enforcement officials after a federal agent shot a suspected migrant gang member in The Bronx.

The soon-to-be DSA House member posted a nearly 400-word screed on social media Friday attacking the police for conducting crowd control and clearing a path for ICE officers following the Marble Hill incident.

“When I was in Marble Hill last night I saw NYPD officers rapidly escalating violence,” claimed the NY-13 House candidate, who was endorsed by Mayor Zohran Mamdani.

“As I was trying to de-escalate, I was shoved to the ground by an officer. I witnessed unmarked law enforcement cars hitting protestors as NYPD officers pushed people out of its path,” she wrote.

The far-left firebrand also raged against Mamdani’s NYPD commissioner, Jessica Tisch, accusing her of violating city laws that bar police from assisting immigration officials — and calling on her to step down.

“Instead of condemning ICE’s violence, Police Commissioner Tisch attempted to justify the shooting by reading off our neighbor’s past interactions with police,” Avila-Chevalier said.

“The NYPD spent more time protecting a militia that just shot someone than protecting New Yorkers.”

She added: “Last night, the NYPD and Commissioner Tisch violated the spirit, if not the letter, of our sanctuary city policies and fueled the Trump Administration’s attempt to demonize our communities.

“The NYPD’s Strategic Response Group must be disbanded as quickly as possible, and Commissioner Tisch must step down.”

Notably missing from the six-paragraph tirade was any mention of Mamdani — who appointed Tisch as the city’s top cop and can remove her at any time.

Hizzoner promised during the campaign to disband the SRG, the NYPD unit that typically responds to protests — like the one that unfolded Thursday night outside a hospital where Oscar Belgal, 28, was brought after he was shot.

It wasn’t immediately clear if the SRG was called on, or if other police units responded, before ICE agents whisked Belgal, a Dominican Republic national, away in a car, en route to a federal immigration detention facility in New Jersey.

Mamdani has so far refused to disband the SRG.
