Barstool Sports president Dave Portnoy is a Michigan Man through and through. He's profited on bets on the sports teams from his alma mater in the past and is banking on that again.
In the middle of March Madness, Portnoy is watching with glee as his Wolverines have booked their spot in the Sweet 16.
First, the five-seed Michigan were able to hold off a late challenge from 12-seeded UC San Diego.
Then, on Saturday afternoon, the Wolverines managed a very comfortable victory over four-seed Texas A&M.
Ever the gambler, Portnoy decided to put his money on the line that Michigan's luck would continue - and dropped $10,000 on them to win the national championship.
Considering that the Wolverines are still at 80-1 odds, Portnoy felt that the risk was worth a potential payout of $810,000.

He even mocked the sportsbook he placed the bet with as he showed his betslip on social media.
'Am I insane person or is [DraftKings] insane?,' Portnoy posted on Saturday night.
'80-1 and we're locked in to the sweet 16 and playing great basketball!'
Progression to the next round won't be guaranteed though as Michigan will have to face the No. 1 overall seed - the Auburn Tigers.
Not only do the Tigers boast the possible National Player of the Year in forward Johni Broome, but they just got done with beating Creighton 82-70.
That's important because Creighton boasts a 7-footer in Ryan Kalkbrenner.
Now, with about five days or so to prepare for the Sweet 16, Tigers coach Bruce Pearl will have plenty of time to formulate a plan to attack Michigan's twin 7-footers: Danny Wolf and Vlad Goldin.
Per ESPN Bet, Auburn opens as a seven-and-a-half point favorite over Michigan - with the game set to be played in Atlanta on Thursday night.
