David Beckham sends an olive branch to Brooklyn and says 'I love you' in a Father's Day post after his estranged son's brutal advert - as he celebrates without him for a second year

David Beckham has extended an olive branch to Brooklyn by telling him he loves him in a Father's Day post after estranged son's DoorDash advert swipe.

It marks the second year that David, 51, has spent the day without his eldest son, 27, who he has not spoken to in more than 12 months.

David's post came just days after Brooklyn's latest swipe against the family, when he appeared in a DoorDash advert mocking the Beckham fall out.

The former footballer included an old photograph of himself and Brooklyn as a child in his post, as well as a snap of himself with all four of his kids.

Alongside the images, he wrote: 'Being a dad is my most important job - I love you all and thank you mummy @victoriabeckham for giving me our beautiful family. Happy Father's Day to all the Dads around the world.'

Victoria also included their son Brooklyn in her heartfelt Father's Day post to husband David on Sunday.

Victoria shared a throwback photo during happier times on holiday with David, Brooklyn, 27, Romeo, 23, Cruz, 21, and Harper, 14.

She gushed: 'David you truly are the best daddy. Your greatest achievement has always been our beautiful children and we love you so much. Happy Father's Day'.

While Brooklyn unsurprisingly shared no post for David, the father of four did receive sweet messages from his sons Romeo and Cruz.

Cruz shared a snap with his dad on a fishing trip from when he was younger, while Romeo also posted a childhood photo to commemorate the day.

David spent the day at his Cotswolds pile with Victoria, where he was gifted two cockerels by his family to accompany two chickens they already have.

Victoria shared the moment he opened the parcel to reveal the gift.

Victoria joined a host of celebrities marking Father's Day on Instagram, despite the family's 'heartbreak' over Brooklyn's advert mocking their row.

Brooklyn has most recently been accused of selling his family out for a big sum following the release of his two-part DoorDash commercial.

Five months after declaring that he and his wife Nicola Peltz want privacy, Brooklyn was savaged by fans, who branded him 'classless' after he collaborated with the food delivery firm for the sponsored video.

It was reported that Brooklyn was paid a hefty figure for the ad, with a source saying: 'Anything that makes him money is good — it shows that his brand is there and flourishing,'

It's thought that he was paid 'at least $1 million (£753,000)' for the campaign.

However, the Beckham clan were reportedly less impressed with the advert, with an insider telling Page Six: 'Brooklyn claims he wants peace and privacy and nothing to do with his family — now he's trying to cash in on it all.'

In the teaser clip for the advert, released on Monday, Brooklyn smirks and says: 'You're probably wondering why I'm watching the FIFA World Cup 2026 from home... It's a long story.'

It has been taken as mocking parents David and Victoria with whom he no longer speaks - and profiting off their name, while friends of the Beckhams have said the pair are 'devastated and inconsolable' by the jibe.

The second longer version was released on Wednesday, sparking even fiercer backlash from even the most supportive Brooklyn fans with followers commenting in their droves under the Instagram clip.

In January, Brooklyn released a scathing six-page statement, accusing his family of valuing 'public promotion and endorsements above all else', claiming his parents were 'performative'.
