Dax Shepard revealed that his daughter Lincoln shaved his back — and he’s saving the hair for a sweater.
The “Armchair Expert” co-host told podcast listeners Monday that he is “making cashmere now” while guest Anna Kendrick took a bathroom break.
The “Punk’d” alum, 49, announced that he has “a million tiny little hairs” on his back that he noticed in his reflection at the gym.
“I hate them. So then I was complaining about them and Lincoln said, ‘Do you want me to shave your back?'” Shepard explained of his and wife Kristen Bell’s 11-year-old. “And I said, ‘I would love that.’
“And Lincoln shaved my entire back,” the actor continued, adding that when he went to throw away the “little tiny pile of hair,” he noticed it was the “softest” thing he has ever left.
After Lincoln and her 9-year-old sister, Delta, felt the hair, they “all agreed” it was similar to cashmere.
“So I am now collecting it, and one day I hope to produce a cashmere like Brad Pitt’s God’s True [knitwear line],” Shepard said.
His co-host, Monica Padman, joked, “What if [that] is his back hair and we didn’t know?”
Shepard replied that the product would be “underpriced” before he caught Kendrick, 39, up on the conversation.
“It’s a tiny little pile, and I keep it in a certain spot so I can grow it and then get it spun into wool,” the “Parenthood” alum said — and jokingly asked the actress to hook him up with her crafting mom.
Later in the episode, Shepard presented Padman, 37, and producer Rob Holysz with the hair while acknowledging that it’s “gonna take a long time” to make a sweater and might not happen until he’s “60 or 70” years old.
Padman, who added a couple of her own arm hairs to his bag, confirmed, “Wow. It is really soft.”
Shepard cut some of the hairs with a pair of scissors that he brought to the gym during a “terrible workout” during which he “couldn’t focus.”
Lincoln got rid of the rest, with Shepard clarifying that he “would have never asked her to … but she offered.”
He joked, “I think [that’s] a dirty job. … That sounds very vain. I’ve got my kids grooming me now?”
When the comedian noted that he shaves Lincoln’s legs, Padman asked whether he “could combine” the hairs, to which he replied, “Maybe [we could have] two different sweaters.”
He and Bell, 44, welcomed Lincoln and Delta in March 2013 and December 2014, respectively.
They have been married since October 2013 and did not sign prenuptial agreements before tying the knot in a Beverly Hills courthouse.
