Finally, there’s some accountability in the swamp.

The Washington, D.C., blob loves to protect its own. It’s a slimy hierarchy based not on merit but fealty to the system and promotes its loyal servants to higher and higher ranks, even if they are terrible at their jobs. As long as you feed the beast, you are rewarded. (Subscribe to MR. RIGHT, a weekly newsletter about modern masculinity)

Fresh off his swearing-in, President Donald Trump has already taken a step to purge the government bureaucracy of these useless stooges who failed upward, starting with over 1,000 Joe Biden appointees.

“My Presidential Personnel Office is actively in the process of identifying and removing over a thousand Presidential Appointees from the previous Administration, who are not aligned with our vision to Make America Great Again,” Trump wrote on Truth Social early Tuesday morning.

One of those appointees was a notorious swamp creature, Gen. Mark Milley, whom former President Joe Biden preemptively pardoned Monday morning. (RELATED: Biden Uses Final Hours Of Presidency To Let Fauci, Others Off The Hook)

“Jose Andres from the President’s Council on Sports, Fitness and Nutrition, Mark Milley from the National Infrastructure Advisory Council, Brian Hook from the Wilson Center for Scholars, and Keisha Lance Bottoms from the President’s Export Council — YOU’RE FIRED!” Trump said.

The former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Biden administration, Milley helped oversee the disastrous retreat from Afghanistan in August 2021, yet faced no accountability. Neither did his colleagues, including Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin. He also defended the Pentagon’s embrace of teaching woke curricula at West Point.

“I want to understand white rage, and I’m white, and I want to understand it,” Milley said of Critical Race Theory at a June 2021 hearing. “What is it that caused thousands of people to assault this building and try to overturn the Constitution of the United States of America? What caused that? I want to find that out.”

The general even went behind Trump’s back, reportedly placing two secret phone calls in October 2020 and January 2021 to assure Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army that America wouldn’t be issuing a military strike.

To add salt to the wound this week, the Pentagon on Monday removed Milley’s portrait just ten days after it was unveiled. It’s a fitting and poetic end to a swampy career that has done much harm to America.
