Los Angeles authorities have issued an urgent plea for help as they look for nine-year-old twins they said were seized by their father.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said that siblings Solomon and Marozhina Sukonick have been missing since July 23.

Their father, 71-year-old David Sukonick, 'abducted' them around 8pm near the 100 block of West Avenue J-8 in Lancaster, about 70 miles north of Los Angeles, according to the department.

Marozhina was described by authorities as a 90-pound white girl with brown hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing pink shorts and a white shirt.

Meanwhile, the sheriff's department said that her brother Solomon was a white boy with brown hair and brown eyes who was last seen in blue shorts.

Both of the children are 4-foot-4 and weigh 90 pounds, according to authorities.

Their father, David, was last seen in a white shirt, black pants and a blue bandana.

He was with the children, driving a black 2011 Lincoln Town Car donning a California license plate that read 'SOLOYST,' per a photo posted by law enforcement.
