As the wait for Destiny 2: Heresy Act 3 winds down, Warlock players are begging devs to finally buff the class’ “useless” Solipsism exotic.

Originally released alongside Destiny 2’s The Final Shape expansion, the Solipsism exotic is a Warlock Class Item whose suite of perks cater to multiple play styles.

Warlock mains have continued to question the value of this particular exotic since it launched in-game, however. Even popular combinations like Osmiomancy + Star eater lost much of their appeal over time, thanks to targeted nerfs and balance changes.

Thus, some Solipsism users have started relying on buddy builds involving the likes of Hellion turrets to achieve the extra ‘oomph’ the exotic seems to be missing. But those who have grown tired of the item’s relative ineffectiveness want more from it once Heresy Act 3 rolls around.

Destiny 2 Warlock players demand Solipsism buffs

One user in the Destiny subreddit sparked this discussion after calling the class item “so terrible” that Warlock mains are better off using base Exotics. “During Act III, please for the love of God… buff Solipsism,” they wrote.

The player went on to point out several “glaring issues,” which include the aforementioned Spirit of Osmiomancy nerfs and the fact that Solipsism is “way too focused on Rifts” such as Stag and Filaments.

Plus, fans have long complained that Class Items featuring the Spirit of the Swarm perk often feel downgraded.

Numerous players joined the chorus, saying they, too, believe the item struggles when it comes to offering variety. “Agreed. It’s pretty useless,” said a Redditor.

Wrote another user in the comments, “Basically every good Warlock bond roll is HOIL + something else. There is definitely a variety problem, but that could be said of Prismatic Warlock in general…”

Others lamented Solipsism’s lack of synergy with the fan-favorite Phoenix Drive Class Ability, as one person commented, “Agreed. I hate how all of the perks on it try to encourage you to not use Phoenix Dive.”

Another player added that the absence of Phoenix Drive synergy “kneecaps Warlock build options.”

It’s not known what balance changes Bungie has on the docket for Heresy Act 3. So far, the team has only detailed the Act’s Rite of the Nine event, but more information should surface before the third act arrives in April.
