In one of the more awkward yet also quite entertaining President Joe Biden moments from way on back in February of 2024, nearly a year ago now, the elderly president paused in an awkward squat while speaking to the media. As could be expected, that awkward stance led to the expected bevy of online jokes about how it looked like Biden had relieved himself into his pants.
The incident cropped up when the elderly president walked by the media outside the White House and, as he did so, they shouted questions at him, namely about whether he would release the transcript of his interview with Robert Hur, the special counsel who declined to prosecute him because he seemed too senile.
President Biden, as the media members hurled the questions at him and Dr. Jill Biden stood a few yards away while looking at him, didn’t answer the questions. Instead, pausing from his walk in his suit but without characteristic aviator sunglasses, he just looked at them with mouth agape and remained in something of a hunched over squat.
The jokes came in nearly immediately. The “War Hamster” X account, for example, posted the clip and said, “Biden always looks like he’s sh*tting his diaper. Great Commander in Chief 🤡” A commenter on the post, getting more serious, said, “Did you see how fast Jill ran away from that conversation? She knows that transcript will not be released because it shows Joe is incompetent.”
Other commenters, however, rolled with the joke. One, for example, joked that his kids do the same look and pose Biden did, writing “Man!!! That’s hilarious! My kids had that same ‘oh sh*t!’ Look when 💩 their diapers. This is SO spot on.” Another commenter joked, “He is a real power projection platform alright!”
Another person who posted the clip was Paul Szypula. He wrote, captioning the same clip of Biden pausing in the very awkward pose, “Did Joe Biden just sh-t himself again? Look how awkwardly Jill reacts. The world is laughing at us.” A commenter on the post, joking about why Jill moved away, said, “She’s running from the smell😂”
Other commenters on the post joked things like, “Oh my gosh, it totally looks like he did!,” “Especially since Jill walked away right after,” “Well, he is the ‘jobs’ President,” and “Is that his security standing off further in the background? Well hopefully that was not the case. I wouldn’t want that for anyone. Not funny. It’s real . 💩🚽🧻”
Yet another commenter said that her experience as a parent raising toddler seemed relevant to this incident, writing, “Having raised and potty trained 3 kids, I’ll just say that body language looks awfully familiar.” Replying to her, another commenter said, “Exactly…and the look on his face, too!” Watch the incident here:
