Wasn’t expecting that…
JB Bickerstaff, the head coach of the Detroit Pistons, absolutely erupted following a contest taking on the Oklahoma City Thunder due to feeling robbed by the game’s referees.
The 46-year-old Bickerstaff lost control of his temper at one point and pounded the table with his fist while he was talking to the press after Detroit’s 113-107 defeat against the Thunder. And boy oh boy, what a sight it was to see, and not in a good way. (RELATED: Lakers’s Bronny James Epically Shuts Down Heckler With Perfect Three-Word Response)
“What you saw tonight was disgusting,” said Bickerstaff. “It was a disgusting display of disrespect towards our guys and what we’re trying to do.”
“I tried to have a conversation with an official; the official is arguing with [Thunder coach] Mark [Daigneault]. I say his name one time, and he screams at me and tells me that’s enough,” added Bickerstaff.
“We understand that we play a style of ball that’s physical, it’s on the edge. I coach my ass off in a passionate way; I’m into the game, and our players are into the game. We understand that. But we deserve a level of respect because we’re competing our tails off and bringing something positive to this league.”
