Ferrero UK has issued an urgent recall of its frozen Nutella Croissants sold at Lidl stores due to concerns the products may contain metal fragments.
The confectionery giant is warning shoppers not to consume the affected items, which pose a potential safety hazard.
Retail outlets stocking the product will display point-of-sale notices informing customers about the recall and providing guidance on next steps.
The company has stressed that the contamination risk makes the croissants unsafe for consumption.
"If you have bought the product, do not eat it," it said in a statement.

The recall specifically targets four-packs bearing batch codes L126Z39 and L127Z39.
Products with the first batch code carry a best-before date of 6 May 2027, while those marked with the second code are dated 7 May 2027.
No other dates or batch numbers are included in this safety alert. Ferrero has confirmed: "The affected products are limited to specific batches."
The company has also reassured customers that its wider product range remains unaffected by this issue.
Shoppers can verify whether their purchase falls within the recall by checking the packaging for the relevant codes and expiry information.
Those who have purchased the affected croissants should refrain from eating them under any circumstances.
Consumers may return the product to the Lidl store where it was bought to receive a complete refund.
Alternatively, customers can dispose of the items if they prefer not to make the journey back to the retailer.
