Documentary recounts tennis great Novak Djokovic’s stand against COVID mandates

(LifeSiteNews) — At the height of the western world’s tyrannical COVID-19 lockdowns and vaccine mandates in January 2022, tennis great Novak Djokovic took a principled stand against the forced COVID-19 jabs and for bodily integrity and medical autonomy.   

Because he didn’t comply with globalist elites’ demands that he receive the COVID-19 jab despite having developed natural immunity after having a bout with the virus, Djokovic says he was portrayed as a global villain.  

“Now I was a villain of the world,” the tennis superstar said in an excellent sports documentary just released on Amazon Prime: Novak Djokovic: The Wolf in Winter. 

 “Ninety-nine percent (99%) of people don’t know what actually happened. They think that I was deported from Australia because I was not vaccinated, and that’s not true,” he explained. “It was all political.”  

Before boarding a plane to fly from his home in Serbia to Melbourne, where he hoped to win an astounding 10th Australian Open championship, the world’s then-number one men’s tennis player innocently posted on Instagram: 

I’ve spent fantastic quality time with my loved ones over the break and today I’m heading Down Under with an exemption permission. Let’s go 2022!!

By the time he landed, his post had gone viral. Instead of being welcomed, he was met by immigration authorities and detained. In his wife Jelena’s words: “From the moment he posted on instagram, hell opened.”

“He said it out loud,” Jelena said. “They wanted everybody to comply” yet Novak was “the one guy” who went “against the current.”

“In order to travel to Australia, you either had to be vaccinated, or if you were not vaccinated, you had to give evidence that you had corona in the previous six months,” Djokovic recounts in the documentary.  “I was not vaccinated, but I had corona twice in the six months so I was eligible.”

“I didn’t feel like I needed it. Why should I get the vaccine? I’m healthy, I’m an athlete. I had corona. I had protection. I’m not a threat to anybody. Why should I get vaccinated?” he asked. “It’s my freedom to choose which (is a) fundamental right that you have as a human being on this planet. The freedom to choose was taken from a lot of people on this planet.”

“There was a perception, rightly or wrongly, that he’d been given favorable treatment, that he was being given an opportunity to enter the country under conditions where other people weren’t given that chance,” Australian journalist Scott Spits noted in the Amazon documentary. “He became a villain. He became a target.”

Djokovic was relentlessly attacked and condemned in corporate media for not having submitted to the experimental COVID jab.  

“What we have is a guy who has shown a continued pattern of evasions of the truth and contempt for the rules that apply to everyone else,” sports commentator Bob Costas claimed on CNN.  

“He is a pampered, entitled sports star who thinks he can game the system,” former Labor Senator Stephen Conroy declared during a Newsday interview. 

“The Serbian tennis star is at the center of some of the most divisive debates of the pandemic: Individual versus community, science versus quackery,” The New York Times screamed. 

Radio host Howard Stern’s criticism of Djokovic at the time is too vulgar to put into print. 

“I never said I am against vaccines or pro-vaccine,” Djokovic explained. “I am pro-freedom to choose what you are going to do with the integrity of your body.”

In 2023, after some of the COVID madness had died down, Djokovic returned to Melbourne and did what he had hoped to do the year before: He won the Australian Open for the 10th time and tied Rafael Nadal for the most Grand Slam titles in the sport’s history at 22. 

Adding to the sweetness of Djokovic’s victory that day was the fact that Bill Gates, one of the most prominent financial sponsors of vaccine development and production, was in attendance at the final match of the tournament and watched the unvaccinated Djokovic win his 22nd Grand Slam title.
