Domino's is cooking up a new kind of pizza that might make sharing a pie a thing of the past.
After more than 65 years of making full-sized pies, the fast food giant is introducing a new menu item called the Domino - a Detroit-style pizza specifically made for one.
This shakeup means customers can order their own individual pizza, with exactly the toppings they want, rather than agreeing on a single pizza when eating with friends or family.
Domino's says its new pizza option is designed to solve the problem of everyone wanting something different, noting that 'sharing a meal no longer means having to share a pizza.'
Joe Jordan, Domino's chief operating officer and president of Domino's US and incoming CEO, said it also 'fills a gap' in the company's portfolio.
'When everyone wants something different, traditional pizza falls short,' he added. 'The Domino lets every person build the exact pizza they want.'
The Domino is shaped like the brand's iconic logo and is cut into two large slices. It's handmade with dough dusted with Parmesan cheese, then baked in a rectangular pan to create a crispy Parmesan Detroit-style crust.
It comes with two layers of cheese, a customer's choice of sauce and up to three toppings, before being topped with Dominos' garlic seasoning.

Domino's personal pizzas are 'Detroit-style,' meaning they're baked in a rectangular-shaped pan
The pizza chain says independent testing found consumers rated the Domino as one of the most delicious products they have ever introduced.
The Domino is also being pitched as portable and convenient - suitable for everything from lunch on the go to late-night snacks and family pizza night, when everyone wants something different.
The Domino will be available nationwide from August 31 through Domino's Mix and Match Deal, with a two-topping Domino among the menu items customers can choose for $6.99 each when ordering two or more qualifying items.
However, prices may change depending on the location.
Customers on social media shared that this is a 'pretty good' alternative to what Domino's already offers with their pan pizza.
'While I don’t usually trust Detroit style from chains as it’s easy to undercook dough but Domino's is from Detroit and that picture looks decent,' one Reddit user wrote.
'This looks awesome,' one fan added, while another said, 'I’ll probably try it because I want to compare it to their pan pizza.'
Others shared their appreciation for Domino's discounts and deals, dubbing it one of the few fast food chains that still have 'justifiable' prices.
Domino's remails the largest pizza chain in the world by store count, surpassing Little Caesars and Pizza Hut
'I don't think Domino's is high quality pizza or anything but it's one of the last places with good deals and prices so I'll forever support them,' a Reddit user wrote.
Little Caesars and Domino's are among the cheapest pizza chains available - and the most successful.
Despite Domino's closing more than 200 stores post-Covid, that pizza chain remains the largest in the world by both sales and store count.
Now, industry experts claim the gap between Domino’s and its rivals is steadily widening.
Neil Saunders, retail expert at GlobalData, previously told the Daily Mail: 'Domino’s is in a much stronger position than Papa Johns as it has a better focus on value, is really easy to order from, and has been innovating its menu.'
