Taking office — and taking flight.

President Trump and first lady Melania Trump were spotted leaving the White House Friday, marking their first official trip together since the politician was sworn in for his second term.

Photographers caught Donald, 78, and Melania, 54, all bundled up as they left Washington, DC, to visit hurricane victims in North Carolina.

The president wore a long black peacoat over navy slacks, while his wife kept warm and cozy in a hunter green puffer jacket with black pants. She accessorized with a black beanie, black-and-gold aviator sunglasses and black combat boots.

“So we’re going to North Carolina,” President Trump told reporters before taking flight, per a video shared with Newsmax. “It’s been a horrible thing the way that’s been allowed to fester, and we’re going to get it fixed up.”

After the president shared a few words with reporters, he and Melania boarded the Marine One helicopter parked on the White House’s front lawn.

The couple initially flew to Joint Base Andrews in Maryland before hopping on the official Air Force One plane that would take them to Asheville, NC.

Donald and Melania will spend Friday afternoon checking in on the recovery efforts in western North Carolina after Hurricane Helene flooded several towns and devastated the area.

After the couple speak with people from that region, Air Force One will take them to Los Angeles so the two can tour the areas destroyed by the devastating wildfires.

From there, they’ll get on the presidential plane once again to fly to Las Vegas, where they’re expected to spend the night before President Trump takes the stage at a rally in Sin City Saturday.

The cross-country adventure marks the first official trip that Donald and Melania have taken together since he was sworn in as the 47th President of the United States Monday.

The president was surrounded by various celebrities, tech moguls and his five children –– Donald Trump Jr., 47, Ivanka Trump, 43, Eric Trump, 41, Tiffany Trump, 31, and Barron Trump, 18 –– at his inauguration ceremony earlier this week.
