US President Donald Trump has banned three media outlets from the White House after accusing them of so-called "fake news".
Mr Trump, who welcomed GB News to the Oval Office briefing pack in November 2025, today announced CNN, MSNOW and Politico would be barred on social media.
In a post on his own social media platform Truth Social, the US President said: "I am proud to announce that, effective immediately, I am banning 'Fake News' CNN, MSNOW and Politico from the White House as a result of their constant 'reporting' fake news.
"Media outlets shouldn’t be able to constantly write or report fiction and lies when they’re covering the President of the United States, the Trump Administration, or the United States of America."
Mr Trump accused MSNOW of rebranding from MSNBC due to a declining viewership and claimed Politico had received an $8million subscription from Joe Biden's administration.
The US President's Truth Social post also opened the door to a ban on other media outlets.
"Other fake news media outlets to follow," Mr Trump said. "Thank you for your attention to this matter."
Mr Trump accused the BBC of "fake news" amid a $10billion defamation lawsuit.
The BBC was forced to apologise after a Panorama documentary spliced together Mr Trump's comments ahead of the January 6 riots in 2021.
