Donald Trump's recent public attacks on Prince Harry and Meghan Markle "won't do their image any harm," a royal expert has claimed.
The President of the United States told reporters in the Oval Office on Wednesday evening he was "happy" the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were returning to the UK, after they touched down in Birmingham last week ahead of an "extended" stay.
President Trump said the duchess was "terribly disrespectful" to the late Queen and King Charles, with both of whom he claims to have a very good relationship.
And in a world exclusive interview with GB News' Bev Turner, he announced he "wouldn't have taken Prince Harry and Meghan Markle back" and took aim at Meghan's "horrible" influence on her husband.
"Too much hate, too many really bad things. He [Prince Harry] wrote a book that was so bad, and she was a horrible influence on him. What she's done to him is unacceptable," he told the People's Channel.
The President added: "The things he said, I wouldn't... I mean, it's just me. I'm sure I'm wrong on this, but I would not have taken him back. I would have never spoken to him again."
Despite returning to the UK, Harry and Meghan are not coming back into the royal fold.
They are believed to be house-hunting in the Cotswolds, rather than the capital, where Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet have been enrolled in a local prep school.

While the door to reconciliation with King Charles and Queen Camilla appears to have been left ajar - much to President Trump's dismay - it seems to be slammed shut for the Prince and Princess of Wales.
This was highlighted by Mr Trump, who told GB News that Harry's memoir Spare was "very terrible to William".
However, royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams believes the President’s increasingly public attacks may have little impact on the Sussexes’ image.
Instead, he suggested the latest war of words demonstrates the couple’s "vast, international profile".

Mr Fitzwilliams said Mr Trump was "highly controversial" and argued his criticism of the Sussexes may ultimately have little effect on how they are perceived.
"With the crisis in the Gulf seemingly out of control to the detriment of world trade, his attack on them won’t do their image any harm," he said.
He also noted that they have "traded incivilities for years" - tracing back to their initial move to the States in 2020.
One hotly debated topic has been Harry's revelations in his memoir Spare, in which he admitted to using cannabis, cocaine, magic mushrooms and ayahuasca.
"This is a moment for American leadership," he said.
Rather brutally, the President retorted: "I know one thing, Prince Harry is not speaking for the UK, that's for sure."
He added: "I think I'm speaking for the UK more than Prince Harry, that's for sure. But thank him for his advice."
