Donald Trump slaps UK with new 10% tariff in escalation of global trade war

Donald Trump has slapped the UK with a new 10 per cent import tariff as the global trade war escalates.

The tax will be added onto UK goods after the previous levies introduced by the US President following a Supreme Court defeat expire on Friday.

A US trade representative confirmed the new levies today.
