US President Donald Trump has secured a deal with Vladimir Putin to "immediately release" diesel into the global market.
Mr Trump confirmed the agreement with the Russian President will allow the release of 300,000 tonnes of diesel immediately, followed by 500,000 tonnes in November and another million after that.
The deal, announced on Friday, is the latest effort from the US President to lower fuel prices in the US.
He has spent months grappling with the political consequences of the Iran war, which began in February, and its impact on global energy prices.
