Donnie Wahlberg said he is “thankful” to be alive after his private jet skidded off a runway in Las Vegas.
“We’re all okay. I’m okay. We were taking off and didn’t get up in the air and ran out of runway,” the “Sixth Sense” star said in a video on Instagram after the terrifying incident at Harry Reid International Airport on Sunday.
“I’m just going to tell you these pilots saved our lives. And God covered us,” he added.
Wahlberg, 57, said the pilots were able to avoid hitting fences, trucks, heavy equipment and dumpsters.
“God is good,” he added as he held back tears.
“We had just finished praying, and I looked out the window and said, ‘We are not getting up in the air today,'” the actor recalled.
“But we’re safe and thankful and all is well. Don’t worry,” Wahlberg concluded.
In the caption of his video, the “Blue Bloods” alum said the jet trouble was “a rather intense few moments” that “felt like a few long minutes.”
Several stars took to Wahlberg’s comments section to share their thoughts on the scary situation.
“God is so good!!!! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️,” wrote Jenny McCarthy.
“🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾,” added Montell Jordan.
“Oh goodness! Thank the Good Lord yall are ok!!” said Kristin Chenoweth.
“🙌🏽🔥🙌🏽,” commented Stephen Baldwin.
On Sunday, the Dassault Falcon 50 aircraft was departing from Runway 1L when it skidded off the runway and hit one of the airport’s perimeter fences.
Per a flight-tracking map shared online, the jet moved slowly from its taxi position and turned onto the runway.
The plane then went past the end of the pavement and veered to the right before coming to a complete stop.
The Federal Aviation Administration temporarily issued a ground stop for the airport, citing an “aircraft emergency.”
