The moment a delivery truck in Milwaukie, Oregon was stolen with a female employee still inside was caught on dramatic security video.

Forrest Lee Guayante, 29, of Washington, was arrested on a slew of charges - including unauthorized use of a vehicle, reckless endangering, attempt to elude, hit-and-run, unlawful possession of methamphetamine, kidnapping, criminal mischief, theft and fraudulent use of a credit card, KGW8 reported.

The shocking footage showed the suspect calmly walking towards the truck before jumping in the driver’s seat as it was being loaded by Esmeralda, the female employee, in a warehouse parking lot for Elephant Delicatessen at 4.30am.

Just as she rolled another shipment into the truck’s cargo area, the truck sped off - dropping crates of deliveries along its way as Esmeralda held on for the ride.

‘The truck started moving even faster and then that’s when I started to hold on to whatever I could hold on to,’ she told the outlet. ‘He slowed down for a bit before hitting the railroad tracks, and so, I jumped off.’

Security footage then showed Esmeralda running back towards the business where she sustained minor bruising after her escape.

Milwaukie Police located the van in Portland later in the day thanks to GPS tracking - but the suspected thief allegedly used the truck to ram into the officer’s car in an attempt to get away.

The truck was eventually stopped due to heavy traffic, leading the suspect to abandon ship and escape by foot through neighborhood yards and business parking lots. He was ultimately arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail.
