Young Americans can’t afford homes, children or weddings.
Now, apparently, they can’t even afford to fall in love.
The Wall Street Journal reports that Gen Z is embracing “cheap dates,” trading dinner and drinks for coffee, picnics, board games and walks around the park.
Sounds wholesome. But the resurgence of the cheap date is also the latest evidence that the affordability crisis has seeped into nearly every aspect of American life.
