Following the transition to 5.5e, Dungeons and Dragons has a ton of exciting new content, from books to collaborations. And, we now know of two new collabs, taking us to a ‘galaxy far, far away’ and to a pretty popular video game world.

It’s been a pretty busy time for D&D in the last few years. It’s seen a meteoric rise in popularity thanks to Stranger Things and Baldur’s Gate 3, and it has recently released its latest edition, 5.5e (or the 2024 edition depending on how you prefer to name it), promising tons of new content coming soon.

As such, the extremely popular TTRPG is taking huge steps forward by releasing a ton of new epic adventures and collaborating with some brand new franchises, including Star Wars and World of Warcraft as part of its Universes Beyond program.

Dungeons & Dragons to have official Star Wars & WoW books

At Gen Con, Dungeons & Dragons officially announced Universes Beyond, which is essentially a multiverse for various different collaborations.

And, what better place to start than the epic world of Azeroth in its upcoming World of Warcraft book, allowing you to play as any of the 13 WoW classes alongside new subclasses, species (Dracthyr, Draenei, Earthen, Forsaken, Haranir, and more), monsters, spells, and seven iconic WoW dungeons with boss encounters fans will certainly recognize.

It’s set to release on November 17, 2026, while those with the Master Tier for D&D Beyond will get it on November 3.

The collabs don’t stop there, however, as WoTC also revealed “Season of Rebellion,” a brand-new collaboration with Star Wars. Now fans of TTRPG’s and Star Wars will likely already know that there are, in fact, a selection of Star Wars roleplaying games on offer, but this one will be a DnD official.

Not much is known about it outside of the fact that it’ll take place in the Season of Rebellion and will be coming in 2027.
