Early voting reports
11/1/2024 | Lowcountry

I voted today in Raleigh NC and the early voting line was pretty long. I'm in a traditionally Republican precinct so this seems like pretty heavy turnout for the R's. Any other local reports are welcomed to this thread.

My small early voting place out in Archer Lodge(Wendell NC), has been fairly active every day. I was in and out in about 15 minutes when I went first thing in the morning last week, but there was steady activity.

I found it odd that there were a few Republican volunteers handing out flyers, but no one from the democrat side. The big red Republican tent has been there every day -and I’ve yet to see any blue there at all.

I think the D’s have given up at this location.

I voted early in Union a week ago and yeah, a lot of older whites, no minorities, looked heavy republican.

Trump is playing it smart, he’s trying to win PA, GA, Arizona, and NC, he wins those four he’s the winner

I have a college buddy in NC. 2016 Trump voter. 2020 Biden. He kept complaining about Trump’s personality etc, which I told him was strange criticism coming from him considering he is the most crass and inappropriate person I know.

Came to find out it all came from his wife (a Paul Ryan Republican as he described her). He said they weren’t voting, but he ruled out ever voting for Kamala. I talked him into voting. I told him he wouldn’t have to ever verbally admit that he voted for Trump, but if he ever needed a favor someday that might exceed the usual ask, to let me know with a wink and a nod and it will be done.

Bottom line: if you know any fence sitters, bribery is a useful tool.

One of the bigger issues I have with tracking early voting is they would seem to necessarily diminish the impact of Independents, and there have been several surveys this year showing them to number more than either GOP or Dem.
